This Privacy Policy is valid from 24th of May 2018. Protecting SEEBURGER Cloud users’ personal data is very important to SEEBURGER AG (“SEEBURGER”). This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing and use of personal data related to your registration and use of the SEEBURGER Cloud and the use of the affiliated SEEBURGER Webshop.
SEEBURGER AG (Email support@cloud.seeburger.de Phone +49 7252/96-0, Edisonstrasse 1, 75015 Bretten, Germany) is the responsible body under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the service provider under the German Telemedia Act (TMG).
We only collect and use personal data of our users insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as to provide our contents and services. The collection and use of our user’s personal data is regularly only carried out with the user’s consent. An exception applies in those cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for real reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.
Legal basis for the storage of data is Art. 6 para. 1 cont. of the EU-GDPR.
The personal data we collect, process and use in connection with your registration for and use of the SEEBURGER Cloud, and in connection with your use of the affiliated Webshop, includes data that you have provided to SEEBURGER on one of the following occasions:
You enter the personal data you submit for the above reasons yourself in the forms we provide for such purposes. The data submitted to us in these transactions is data we require to interact with you. This includes, for example, your full name, company, position/role, business address, e-mail address, business phone number and perhaps other information we need in order to process and execute your enquiry or order.

Where we engage a third party (as a service provider of SEEBURGER AG) as part of the collection, processing and use of your data, we shall only disclose such data as is necessary for the third party to provide the services we have commissioned. In such cases, the respective service provider shall undertake in writing to use your data only on our behalf and for the purpose agreed between you and us. Furthermore, the respective service provider shall undertake to maintain the confidentiality of such data. Furthermore, data may be stored due to applicable European or national regulations, laws or other provisions. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract. SEEBURGER AG is an internationally active company with international technical business processes. In conformity with this Privacy Policy, your personal data may be transmitted to other SEEBURGER AG locations or to companies in other countries affiliated with SEEBURGER AG under Article 15 of the German Stock Corporation Act (Aktiengesetz), provided this is required as a result of internal responsibilities at SEEBURGER in order to process and use your data for the agreed purpose. The same high standards of data protection apply within all individual SEEBURGER AG locations. However, your data shall only be transferred to SEEBURGER locations outside the economic area of the European Union with your explicit prior consent.
SEEBURGER AG uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology for the electronic transmission of personal data.
You may revoke your consent for the collection, processing and use of your personal data at any time, effective for the future. You can submit your revocation declaration to support@cloud.seeburger.de.
We use cookies for our SEEBURGER Cloud and affiliated Webshop. Cookies are small text files that are sent to your browser by our web servers during your visit to the SEEBURGER Cloud portal and that are saved by your browser on your computer for retrieval later on. YOU CAN DEFINE WHETHER COOKIES CAN BE PLACED AND RETRIEVED THROUGH YOUR BROWSER SETTINGS. For example, you can completely disable the saving of cookies, restrict the action to specific websites, or configure your browser to notify you automatically when a cookie is to be set and request a response from you.
We use both session cookies (also called temporary cookies) and permanent cookies in the SEEBURGER Cloud and Webshop. Session cookies are only cached while you are using one of our websites in the SEEBURGER Cloud or Webshop. These cookies are used to identify your computer during a visit to our websites and determine when your visit ends. For technical reasons, you must permit the use of session cookies in order to take advantage of all the features and functions on websites in the SEEBURGER Cloud and Webshop. Session cookies are deleted as soon as you leave the website or close your browser.
In addition, we use permanent cookies to identify returning visitors, even if they have not visited the site for a long time, so that we can provide them with information on our products and services based on their needs. We also use permanent cookies to personalize the content of the SEEBURGER Cloud and the Webshop, adapt it to your user behavior and make logging in or purchasing easier. Permanent cookies are permanently saved on the user’s computer and are not deleted when you leave the website or close your browser. Permanent cookies need to be deleted manually.
We also use cookies as part of web analysis services, which we use to obtain information on how you interact with our websites. This includes gathering standard information that your browser sends to our Cloud portal, such as browser type, access times, etc. If you enter personal data on any of the websites in the SEEBURGER Cloud or the Webshop, we will use this data to provide you with targeted and personalized information on our products and services, to the extent permitted by your declaration of consent. As described above, you can of course revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
We also use Google Analytics, a website analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information on your use of our websites generated by these cookies is generally sent to and saved on a Google server in the USA. IP ANONYMISATION IS ACTIVATED ON OUR WEBSITES IN THE CLOUD PORTAL. This means that Google will first compress your IP address within the member states of the European Union or in other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is only transferred to a Google server in the USA and compressed there in exceptional cases. On behalf of SEEBURGER AG, Google uses this information to analyze your use of our websites in the SEEBURGER Cloud and Webshop, prepare reports on your activities and provide additional services for SEEBURGER AG related to your use of the SEEBURGER Cloud and SEEBURGER Webshop and services related to Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data collected by Google.
YOU CAN PREVENT COOKIES BEING SAVED THROUGH THE CORRESPONDING SETTING IN YOUR BROWSER SOFTWARE (see our remarks on the use of cookies above). However, please note that, if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of our Cloud portal to their full extent.

You can view, correct, update and delete your personal data in your SEEBURGER Cloud user account at any time. This does not affect the right of information, correction and deletion granted to you by the Federal Data Protection Act.
You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored by us, get it corrected or erased partially or completely. In addition, you have the right to revoke or limit your consent to the use of your personal data at any time with effect for the future.
In addition, you have the right to pass this data on to another data controller without obstruction by the data controller, to whom the personal data was provided, given that
(1) processing is based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU-GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a EU-GDPR or on a contract pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b EU-GDPR and
(2) processing is carried out using automated methods.
In exercising this right, you also have the right to request, that the personal data concerning you be transferred directly from one data controller to another data controller, insofar as this is technically feasible. The freedoms and rights of other persons must not be affected by this.
The right to data portability shall not apply to the processing of personal data necessary for the performance of a task in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority conferred on the data controller.

We currently neither use any social media plugins nor automated decision-making and profiling.
SEEBURGER AG uses appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, misuse and disclosure. SEEBURGER AG regularly updates these measures, taking the latest developments into account.
Our data protection declaration does not apply to third-party websites that you access via hyperlinks on our websites. We ask you to check the data protection declarations used on the websites of the third party providers separately.
We reserve the right to update and amend the Privacy Policy from time to time. We will inform you of this on your SEEBURGER Cloud user account. This gives you the opportunity to decide whether we shall be permitted to continue to collect, process and use your personal data in a particular manner, or whether you wish to revoke your consent.
